  • A specialist is often needed by large companies with larger HR departments that divide the team into specific roles. 
  • Specialization allows you to work as a contract or freelance HR professional who provides services to a number of companies when needed. 
  •  You prove your ongoing interest and commitment to the HR field by taking self-improvement and knowledge-based training. 
  • Taking on a specialty doesn’t mean you will always work in that single area. By having a generalist’s background, you can always add different specialties through continuing education courses or other HR courses in Canada to expand your knowledge and skillset.

Managing people covers a broad range of topics and people in HR often learn just how far-reaching the field is when they earn their HR certification in Canada. It’s a job that could provide endless learning opportunities.
